Folding Step Stool

Built in the fall of 2012, the design was from a plan listed in Woodsmith Magazine #183. It’s made from quarter sawn white oak, and finished with a tint dye stain, sprayed with amber shellac, then some dark brown paste wax.

I really love the design: it is lightweight, but strong, and folds down very flat, and has been a useful, everyday item in our home.
